Rock-A-Bye Baby!

Max has started calling Ellie Rose's glow worm his baby. We'll catch him swaying back and forth with it in his arms.:) He even said this morning, "I've gotta go get my baby!". :) Hahaha! This is a picture I'll be sure to pull out to show him when he's in high school.:) He is such a sweet child which is nothing of my own efforts. I thank God for his sweet spirit all the time.

I'm 3 months old!

Ellie Rose is a growing girl! She is so much fun and is showing more of her personality every day. So far we know that she is somewhat particular and sensitive (doesn't like to be left alone):). She loves to be loved on, kissed on, and talked to. So far, she and I (her mama) have quite a lot in common, and I'm loving it!:)

Christmas 2009

Well, we had a very busy, but fun and exciting Christmas this year as a family of four.

We all gathered at the Simmons' home to eat, decorate Christmas cookies, and let the kiddos exchange gifts!

Max and Daddy are working hard on their red gingerbread man with marshmallos. Yummmm...

What a masterpiece!

Max was more interested in eating the icing than anything!:)

New Baby Girl!

Scott, Ellie Rose, and I played Joseph, Mary, and Baby Jesus in our church's Christmas contada. Ellie Rose cried to let everyone know she was a real baby. I think she really just wanted a little more attention. We're learning she likes a lot of it.:)

She's got her mama's hair, that's for sure!:)

Here's our chunky monkey! She's only 11 weeks old and wearing 6 month clothes.:)

Thankfully, she is a very happy little thing!

First Trip to Vancouver!

Above are some pictures from our day in Whistler (about an hour and a half from downtown Vancouver). Included are also some pictures of the Olympic runs for the ski jump and the bob sled races.

We loved our first trip to Vancouver, British Columbia! The realization of actually moving there and leaving family and friends was very emotional for me, but God continued to overwhelm us both with confirmation through His word and circumstances that this was exactly where He wanted us. On the second morning of our trip, I opened my Bible to read it and fell across this verse. "I tell you the truth," Jesus said to them, "no one who has left home or wife or brothers or parents or children for the sake of the kingdom of God will fail to receive many times as much in this age and, in the age to come, eternal life." Luke 18:29-30. Wow! I just sat there and cried. God was so faithful to give me just what I needed to get me through the tough moments of leaving our loved ones.

Selling the House!

Well, the first thing to do on our journey to Vancouver is to sell our home.:( If anyone knows of anyone interested, please email us at grisham.vancouver@gmail.com.
